
Canadian modder Brent Smith decided that Mario Kart was too easy. So using some Arduino and an old SNES console he crated his masterpiece of gaming tech. Apparently your acceleration is set up to increase as you pedal, and buttons like A and B are on the handles. Pretty much if this game is as fun as the original, then we are going to have a lot of Lance Armstrongs riding around. Either that or a lot of really injured nostalgic old people. Here’s the scoop from Engadget.
Power-ups are accessed with a button in the center of the exercise bike’s handles, each of which has a directional button for steering, while the pedals function as the acceleration button, accurate to one sixth of a rotation. According to Smith, “it’s a lot harder than it looks” — and we believe him.
